My Bio
I'm just some guy who decided to play with Apophysis before realising it's far too complicated for such a tiny mind to comprehend. Now I just watch lots of other people being great at it and become increasingly convinced that I'm best off not bothering.

Time rolls on

So, another half a year or so has passed and I've done nothing. I'm really not feeling creative. I once had a quick play around with Terragen before realising it was way too complicated to even consider. Still can't do anything in Apophysis, my camera still sits around waiting for me to actually learn to use it, anything else to generate fractal stuff is gonna melt my brain... I've been sort of writing stuff, but more in my head than actually getting anything down on paper so I can't really show that either - not that I would, I always cringe when I read it back to myself and end up getting rid of it. I think what I need is a new outlet. Or

Bah.

So, my last three entries have all said that I'm back, still alive, doing stuff, etc but for some reason it never sticks. Perhaps because I've got so far behind everyone else in terms of what can be done in Apophysis that I don't see it's worth bothering any more, entirely my own fault for not having the tenacity to stick with it but it's really sad when I follow tutorials to the word and end up with absolutely nothing like what I'm supposed to get. I'm tempted to try and find another (hopefully slightly easier) program to work with, or actually learn how to take decent photos with this reasonable camera that I bought nearly two years ago an

...really, I am. The past few months have been fairly shitty, if I'm honest. So, aside from being way too busy with uni work to think about art, I've really just not been in the mood. I've decided that my time in 2009 is going to be much more structured to allow me to do all the things I've been meaning to do... which I guess includes this art malarkey. See you soon, perhaps.

Those are some very nice fractals you have there, I'll be going through the gallery in full shortly. I found this page via way of The Escapist forum thread titled "the artist in thee" or something similar.
Welcome to the apophysis group you are now a member. Our group website has many resources at your disposal. We have a chat room, forums, you can submit art to the gallery, tutorials, weekly challenges and many other fun things to do. check out our journals for more info.
I has a comment, I does. I'm bored enough to comment myself? Wow.
